Chanmali is a leading communication and government relations specialist with more than 20 years’ experience working as a consultant and in-house practitioner. She also has a strong background in politics with roles as Chief-of-Staff and Ministerial Adviser in two Victorian Labor Governments.
Chanmali has managed complex projects and negotiations across a variety of sectors including construction, energy, transport, health and the environment and has led successful advocacy campaigns on behalf of government and the private sector.
As an in-house practitioner she has managed communications for Australia Post in Victoria and Tasmania and was its spokesperson on key national issues. She also managed the challenging stakeholder engagement program for Veolia Transportation and more recently established and managed the corporate communication function for Sigma Pharmaceuticals Limited, including investor relations.
Chanmali holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Criminology from the University of Melbourne as well as a Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the RMIT.
