The Festival featured more than 400 guests, including Booker Prize winner Sir Salman Rushdie, Australian writer and journalist Helen Garner, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, American novelist Dave Eggers and former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser.

CPR worked through the program of more than 400 events to develop a strategic media plan, identifying and pitching interview opportunities and story ideas designed to increase awareness of the Festival and drive ticket sales.

437% increase

Between June and September 2014, CPR secured 1423 clippings, a 437 per cent increase on the previous year

Media coverage was achieved in publications and outlets as diverse as The Age, Time Out Melbourne, 774 ABC Melbourne, The Australian, Broadsheet, Q&A, Channel Ten’s The Project, Smith Journal, National Nine News, Triple R, The Ballarat Courier and SBS, to name a few.

CPR also provided social media advice to the Festival, which contributed to a 20 per cent increase in social media referrals to the MWF website on the previous year.

“Aside from the clear success of the 2014 publicity campaign, MWF thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at CPR who consistently combine professionalism and expertise with warmth and good humour. I have no hesitation in recommending CPR to any organisation seeking experienced and diligent communications experts, who achieve great results.”
